Proximity Voice Chat
EarthStonks supports proximity voice chat — talk to players near you in-game without Discord. This is an optional client-side mod that must be installed on your own launcher. The server supports it natively; you just need the mod on your end.
The Mod — Simple Voice Chat
EarthStonks uses the Simple Voice Chat mod. It is available for both Fabric and Forge loaders and must be installed on your Minecraft client (not the server — the server side is already configured).
Installation
- Choose your loader — Simple Voice Chat supports both Fabric and Forge. Pick whichever your launcher uses.
- Download the mod from Modrinth — make sure you select the correct version for your Minecraft client (1.8–1.21.1).
- Place the .jar file in your Minecraft
modsfolder. - Launch Minecraft and connect to
play.stonksmc.com. - The mod will automatically connect to the server's voice chat system.
Controls

Tactical Uses
Siege Coordination
During a SiegeWar battle session, proximity voice chat lets your squad coordinate banner pushes and flanks in real time without switching to Discord. Players near the banner can hear each other — but so can enemies. Watch what you say.
Trade Negotiations
Meet a resource seller at their town and negotiate prices face-to-face in-game. Proximity voice adds a layer of immersion to the EarthStonks geopolitical roleplay experience.
Combine With Radar
Using Radar Control to go dark before a siege? Proximity voice lets your team stay coordinated even when you're all off the map. Coordinate your positions verbally while invisible to the enemy.
